It has
been a hectic week in cyber space with the 2 big virus'
that has hit the internet - "The Worm" and The
SoBig.F. It's unfortunate there is not much we can
do but to receive the e-mails and delete them. The
only annoying thing is the amount and the speed of the
infected e-mails. Look out for the subject that
states "thank you" , "your
application", "that movie", "wicked
screensaver" and "my details" Do not
open them, and most importantly do not open the
attachment. The Internet is a new frontier that is susceptible
to all types of new attacks, but I guess we must be
patient and not get frustrated. Sometimes these
small set-backs show us just how much we depend on the
internet. This "new frontier" has grown
tremendously in a very short period of time and I'm sure
it will only get more exciting. For me I am learning
more and more each day, and discovering how it can be used
to distribute informative information, and to create
opportunities that will be beneficial to all of
us.
We at
Arious have been able to reach a diverse group of people
through our weekly on-line "What's Happening
Updates", and we would like to thank all of you for
your comments and positive responses. When we
started regularly sending our e-mail updates in late
January we had no idea how fast, and how far this would
grow. We began with only 5,000 subscribers, and now
we have over 30,000. Our main intention for creating
these weekly updates was to market our artists, products
and services, however it has grown into a great
communication tool that will be helpful, not only to us
(Arious Entertainment), but to many of you who are a
part of our on-line community. In the past, for
someone to reach this amount of people in such a short
amount of time, it would have been a major task.
Therefore, it's really a great way to expose your events,
parties, clubs, books, CD's, bands, etc. If you
enjoy receiving our updates (which will only increase with
input from you) please help our community grow by
forwarding our e-mails to your friends, and encourage them
to sign up so they can receive their updates regularly http://www.ariousentertainment.com/mailinglistsignup.htm.
Additionally, when you support the businesses and events
that advertise with Arious be sure to let them know that
you heard about it from us.
There are many exciting things coming
up for Arious in the very near future. For
those in the Washington/Baltimore area, we will soon be
releasing a monthly print magazine/newsletter which
features upcoming entertainment events, updates,
commentary, restaurants, and monthly model profile.
So if you have an event coming up or a business based in
the DC/Baltimore area and want to reach over 35,000 people
(30,000 on-line and 5,000 in the streets) "hit us
up" , and we will let you know the details.
We will
be launching our modeling division very soon, so if you
are a model and would like exposure on the web and in our
upcoming magazine, please e-mail 4 clear photos and a bio
to us for review at webmaster@ariousentertainment.com.
We will also be offering training and development.
Additionally,
we will be launching our distribution division which will
create opportunities for artists and bands to gain
exposure in order to enhance CD sales. This will
also create income opportunities for many members of our
on-line community. If you have ever thought about
being a part of the music industry, and would like to

August 28-30th. There should be a lot of
entertainers and entertainment in town that weekend.

celebrating your birthday.) Anyway, happy birthday
to both of you and we look forward to seeing you
guys over the weekend, so we can celebrate in the true
Arious Style (drinks and more drinks).
