With the fast approach of Carnival (which is only 2 weeks away, actually 17 days to be exact), Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia are heating up with “nuff” events.  Our What’s Happening commentary will have to be put on hold for a “quick minute”, because we have lots to share with you about what’s taking place in the next 2 weeks for DC Carnival.

Last Friday Pan Masters Steel Orchestra held their Calypso Monarch Semi-Finals contest, and we at Arious would like to congratulate the winners who will be competing in the Finals on June 17, 2005.  Notice there are several females in the competition this year and made it to the finals, which is wonderful to see.  Good Luck to all of you.
