What's Going On? By Todd Mangatal Last Weekend (Memorial Day weekend) was pretty exciting and extremely wet here in DC. It rained, and rained! We Really enjoyed the Bounty Killer Show on Saturday Night at Crossroads. Sunday Night was a treat because we made many stops. Checked out Zanzibar Beach Party. Got there late, but even with all the rain, it was pretty cool. PanMasters Pan Jamboree was the highlight of our weekend. It was really Nice. We drove up hearing the sounds of Carnival, and smelling the great aroma of all the delicious foods. As we walked into the Panyard, we were greeted by many in the community, and by the sweet sounds of Casym from NY ( Champs of the 2002 NY Panorama). They were really great! They played many tunes and it was clear to see why they were the 2002 Champs. Anyway, we grabbed beers, strolled through the huge crowd to get closer to the sweet pan music. We were very proud to see how many in our Community came out and supported this event. Our Last stop of the night was at KnockBoy and Mix Productions Event. We got there late and battled the rain to get in the place. We were a bit late, but we were hyped, and wanted to party some more. Security told us we had a few minutes to party, and of course we made the best of those minutes. Andy Mix was jamming and the few people left in the place just didn't want to leave. They were having fun. Monday (Memorial Day) was really quite, which was great since we were wining down from the weekend. We chilled with friends at a private BBQ and had come cocktails. Hope you had as much fun as we had this Memorial Day Weekend Support our newly added businesses (1) Lee's Shipping, (2) Artistic Expressions, and (3) Caribbeana's 15th Annual Comedy Festival (be sure to support and make this festival a gala event).
