| Greetings
Online Family:
Spring is here, along with the beginning of the warm weather, which is certainly welcome!
As the weather warms up we start to feel like getting out and enjoying ourselves, and from all the communications we have been receiving from local promoters, it seems like it's going to be an exciting spring and summer season. I have dedicated this entire e-mail to promoting all the exciting upcoming events leading up to DC Carnival. Which incidentally is moving along as planned and should be more exciting than ever. There are some great surprises in store for you for this years' event. If you are coming into town for the Carnival, hit me back and let me know. If you want to participate in a band or have questions, please hit me back, and we will lead you in the right direction in order for you to have the most enjoyable time here in DC. If you have an event you would like to advertise relating to DC Carnival contact us, because we will be devoting much of the next 2 months to things happening in and around DC Carnival and around National Caribbean Heritage Month (June).
For the next few weeks, we in DC, MD & VA will be in for a treat with some great events. Things start heating up with Denise Belfon (Ms Saucy Wow) and Bunji Garlin this weekend, and on Saturday, April 23rd join T&T Masqueraders (on of DC's Carnival Mas Band) for their "Ultimate Jersey Fete" Click Here and Scroll Down for Details.
The fun continues next weekend with Pan Masters Steel Orchestra as they release their 1st CD on Friday, April 29th. Join them at their panyard located at 4559 Rhode Island Avenue, North Brentwood, Maryland , as they launch this new CD. There will be food, fun, and lots of steel pan music. Scroll down for more details!
Then on Saturday, April 30th, Fox Creations in association with I.C.E. Entertainment and Radio Boyz will be presenting their "Short Pants vs. Mini Skirt" Event. This takes place on Saturday, April 30th at the T&T Clubhouse on Georgia Avenue, NW in DC. Click Here for details!
On Sunday, May 1st 2005, DC Caribbean Carnival presents their "May Day...May Day" Fundraiser. This event is one you can't miss because DC Caribbean Carnival absolutely needs your support. Not only should you come out and support, but you can not miss the wonderful line up of bands and artists scheduled to perform for you at this exciting fundraiser. Click Here for Details!
Then, the following Sunday May 8th is Mother's Day, and on this day some wonderful ladies who call themselves "Klassik Productions" will be bringing you their "1st Annual Caribbean Gospel Festival". What a way to celebrate Mother's Day with your mom! Two of the ladies in this organization I had the wonderful opportunity to work with several years ago as we all were working together to make the Carnival Bandleaders Association here in DC a profitable, reputable organization. These ladies actually brought one of the first Kids band in DC Carnival. From working with these ladies, I can certainly say, this "Gospel Festival" is sure to be a great event. Below you will find some details about "Klassik Productions" that I want to share with you. Thanks to Mrs. Selman for taking the time out of her busy schedule (running her business Crown Bakery) to send me these details.
I understand that BWIA Invaders Steel Orchestra will be in concert here in Baltimore Maryland on May 8th. Details on this is forthcoming. Until next week! Have a great weekend! susanmangatal@ariousentertainment.net; susan@ariousentertainment.com |
