The
arrival of the day to start our life anew came 8
days ago, so WELCOME to 2010 and to a new
decade. Now
that we are into the New Year I hope every one
of you had a great and restful holiday.
Yup, the glitter and lights of the
holidays have faded and we are definitely back
into our normal routine and daily schedules.
As for me, I got some personal time to
myself over the holidays (which I’ve gotten
real used to) and had a unique opportunity to do
some cooking and other things around the house.
Gosh, I’m wondering why I wasn’t born
rich or have become filthy rich yet, so I can
continue living that leisurely life, but I guess
there is a master plan, and a path I must
follow.
We
celebrated the New Year without any fanfare, we just
spent the time together at a real cool,
luxurious, quite and cozy hotel in Capital Hill
– WDC. Honestly,
we were eager to get 2009 over and done with,
and I’m sure you were too because of the
struggling and disastrous economy, as a result
of the failure of Wall Street, the banking
institutions, the mortgage companies as well as
the automobile industry. Of course , the
terrible recession followed as well as the unemployment
rate that reached an all time high.
2010 was truly welcomed, and we are
thrilled to move on to new and exciting things.
Currently,
it looks like the year is shaping up to be
pretty cool and interesting. Indeed, our plan is
for our business to start of with a bang, and as
it continues I’m sure it will be full of
challenges.
However, I am enthusiastic about the
challenges.
I’m hoping that it does not become
intense, stressful, and as insane as last year -
specifically regarding time.
All my time was spent on everything else
but myself, just working on projects or on
something or another.
Heh…heh…heh,
I am chuckling because my mind ran over the
issues we covered over the last year, and all
that we shared with you.
Some were truly funny and lots were
serious and thought provoking.
I am hopeful it will remain the same, and
that we’ll have a lot more interesting things
and projects to post and share with you. So Stay
Tuned!
One
special project we are particularly passionate about and
committed to making the best this year is www.mycaribbean.us,
a
brand new Caribbean social network with
tools for you to communicate and express
yourself with others around the world.
During the early stages of last year Todd thought about
this network, and brought it to
my attention. His concept of enhancing
communication with the Caribbean Communities around the
world intrigued me. After serious discussions he
began researching and looking into what we would need to
make his idea become a reality. With everything
purchased and in place, we were on our way. Todd
began designing and creating the network, and with my
help after some weeks it all came together. For the last year www.mycaribbean.us
has been in a building and testing phase, and
now it's time for it to grow and become the
most awesome Caribbean social network.
As
you may be aware over the months of 2009 we have
invited you to check out www.mycaribbean.us,
and we are glad and very appreciative many of you have
joined. We would once again like to personally
invite you to check out this ultimate Caribbean
Social Network www.mycaribbean.us
and we are hopeful you will join and "MAKE IT
YOURS"!
 MyCaribbean
is a social network all about everything
Caribbean. This is a great tool to link up the
Caribbean community, people, lovers of everything
Caribbean, and those who would like to learn about other
cultures. The possibilities are endless of what we can
achieve as a team at www.mycaribbean.us.
MyCaribbean has
everything that the other networks offer, except our
target is the Caribbean. In addition to this being
a great tool in promoting and exposing the vast cultures
and traditions of the various Caribbean countries; this
will be a place to meet new friends, and link up with
old ones. Being that MyCaribbean is a community,
this means everyone are invited.
MyCaribbean currently
has over 850 members from around the world who represent
the English, Spanish and French speaking Caribbean.
MyCaribbean has over 297 videos, and over 3590 pictures.
Some of the features of MyCaribbean starts with
"your spot", everyone gets their own personal
page that they can design the way they like. It is
a place to express and promote you, your business,
product/s or event..
Since this is a social
network, there are many ways to be social, starting with
our "On-line CHAT" feature. Immediately
and instantly you can chat with anyone on the network
worldwide publicly or privately. Of course, this
is a great way to save on long distance charges. We
are very excited to have added and launched the new
Video Chat by ooVoo. Over the holidays, we tested
this new video chat feature and had Christmas dinner
with our family on cyber space. Yes, we had dinner
with the family who were thousands of miles away via our
computer - we eat and chatted with each other "face
to face" with Video Chat by ooVoo, and it was truly
fantastic. Indeed, this feature is awesome, and we
urge you to utilize it. Truly it's wonderful to
now see your friends or family members as you chat and
catch up on things on-line on www.mycaribbean.us.
To further express
yourself, MyCaribean has a "Blog"
section included in your network so you can speak your
mind. There is also (1) an "Event"
Section where you can list your events and invite your
friends and family to attend, as well as track your
RSVP's. (2) For those of you who like to have
discussions, we have a "Forum" section
where you can start your discussions and others can
comment. (3) You can post your photos. (4)
Add you favorite music. (5) Upload you favorite
videos. And (6) Start Groups on subjects that
interest you. Plus much...much more. The
